At what age did you realize you wanted to be in music?
At the age of 5, I was introduced to music through my family and had my first live studio experience when I was 7 yrs old. I watched the "Jones Gang" record their album, my mom and cousin's group.
What is the local music like in Alabama?
It has it's own story by being local, everyone has a different side view especially speaking through music. Alabama is the next gold mine for upcoming artists.
How did you originally get together to form The Alabama Villains?
I signed too Gville records in 1999.
Are you the only one from the group doing solo projects?
Where do you currently record?
I have a home studio.
Besides being an artist, what do you consider yourself more, writer or producer?
Writer..it just comes naturally.
What was the motivation for writing the song "Prey For Me"?
Everything Jimmy Huey Jones aka Big Jim my Uncle, one of the first black Amercian disc jockeys, went through for all of us. Being a member of the Broadcasting Association, he was just inducted into the Hall Of Fame. As a people, we fell apart after desegregation started, I'm here to bring us back together after following a part those boundaries and cycles have to halt for our kids sake. I don't want them to live the life we adults made, as far as bad choice without guidedence, asking for forgiveness does no harm to any one, it just makes you a stronger adult for your family as well as others.
Have you been doing any live shows lately?
No, not lately
Tell us about your latest projects you have going on.
I'm working on a second album right now and also working on a radio station tour trying to let the world know who and what my family has been to this music industry. Also, the disc jockeys and all Gospel, R&B and Hip-Hop I have a great story. I have a book coming soon, it's really cool and has movie potential.
