This up and coming music producer from Illinois, is one to watch out for. Very talented!
At what age did you decide you wanted to be in music?
I've been into music since I was eight years old (including piano and guitar lessons).
What is the local Hip-Hop scene like in Illinois?
Hip-Hop in Illinois, especially in Chicago, is hot and devepoling (in my opinon) it's own sound.
What do you use to produce your music?
I use FL Studio, Reason, Pro Tools, and studied Sonar6 at Prairie State College (Music Production and Technology program).
Could you see yourself crossing over into other genres of music down the line?
I don't have a problem crossing over into other genres because a lot of my beats have a Jazzy flavor to them right now. I also have produced some material which can be used in dance clubs and others have a Urban Soul sound.
Do you feel it is hard getting your music out on a national level these days?
Not with the use of the internet and many on line sites and radio stations; you just need a lot of marketing and hard work.
What is your opinion of what the role of a music producer is?
To listen to the market's tastes, the artists needs, and produce a sound to make the artist shine.
Do you use samples?
No, everything is original.
What artists would you like to work with down the line?
Man, everybody.
Who do you listen to in your private time?
Everyone from T.I., Cheef Keef, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Twista, Common, Kanye West, JayZ, Lil Wanye, Snoop Dogg to Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, James Brown, Michael Jackson.
What can we expect from you in 2013?
You can expect a lot of new material. I'll be trying some new sounds and techniques in order to take myself into as many directions as I can to expand my position, and fan base in the industry.
